Today is the day the Lord has made…
I will rejoice today because God knows everything. This is marvelous news when you think about it. I don’t have to waste my time trying to figure out why things happen. Sure, there are times when we can see a clear picture of why things turned out the way they did, but many times we can’t. We have a very limited view of what happens; whereas God’s view is limitless.
We don’t know all the psychological aspects of why some people are OCD and others are ADHD, or why some people are easy to get along with and others are difficult. We don’t need to understand why life is not fair, or why some people seem to have more trials that others. It might be helpful to know the answers, but it’s not necessary. Everything we need to know, God will reveal to us in His time.
Here’s the gospel truth: God knows. God understands. God meets us where we are. Our job is to meet others where they are and point them to God. As long as we are moving towards God and not away from Him, we don’t need to understand everything because God does!
