Although I\u2019ve lived in California for around twenty years, I will always be a Cardinals fan!\u00a0 And watching them win the World Series tonight had me jumping up and down as much as those fans in my home town, St. Louis, MO.\u00a0 This blog won\u2019t be posted until Sunday morning but I\u2019m writing it Friday night after just watching my favorite team, the Cardinals, win the World Series.\u00a0 Do I sound excited????\u00a0<\/p>\n
Truth be told, I haven\u2019t lived in St. Louis for over forty years, but they say, \u201cOnce a Cardinals fan, always a Cardinals fan!\u201d\u00a0 And I think they (whoever \u201cthey\u201d are) are right!<\/p>\n
It\u2019s true the emblem of a red bird isn\u2019t as powerful as a bear, lion, or tiger, but don\u2019t let that fool you.\u00a0 It just makes it easier for those Cardinals to \u201cfly\u201d in at the last minute and win the game.\u00a0 Witnessing the fact that in the sixth game the Cardinals came within one strike of losing before David Freese\u2019s home run in the extra innings, plus seeing the Cardinals win the seventh game of the World Series tonight proves this true.\u00a0 That the Cardinals were even in this World Series at all was a minor miracle.<\/p>\n
Of course, other teams have loyal fans as well. \u00a0But unfortunately some fans only love their teams when they are winning.\u00a0 Cardinal fans are supportive whether they win or lose.\u00a0 I notice this every time I go back to St. Louis for a visit.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Cardinals draw over three million attendees to games each year, no matter what their standing is.\u00a0 Cardinal baseball players are always saying how much they love playing for this team. \u00a0\u00a0Maybe this kind of loyalty is the reason why.\u00a0 Of course, David Freese being a local boy adds to the jubilation.\u00a0 This MVP has made his family and the city of St. Louis proud.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
So the Cardinals just won their 11th<\/sup> World Series!\u00a0 And although I love the Cardinals whether they win or lose; I love them a little more when they win.\u00a0\ud83d\ude42\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n I\u2019ve racked my brain to come up with some sort of spiritual lesson tying in with this blog about my favorite team winning the World Series but I just don\u2019t seem to be able to come up with one.\u00a0 Maybe God just wants to see me happy.\u00a0 Okay \u2013 it\u2019s a stretch.\u00a0 Let\u2019s face it; all I can think about is\u2026YEAH CARDINALS!!!!!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" \u00a0 Although I\u2019ve lived in California for around twenty years, I will always be a Cardinals fan!\u00a0 And watching them win the World Series tonight had me jumping up and down as much as those fans in my home town, … Continue reading
