<\/a><\/p>\n<\/b><\/b>Loving fathers exude an aura of protectiveness to their children.\u00a0 <\/span>So when toddlers are learning to walk they want to hold their father\u2019s hand to steady their uneasy steps.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Preschoolers tend to be a little braver so a father will demand his hand is held to keep children from wandering away, getting lost, or darting out in front of traffic.\u00a0 <\/span>His hand gives a sense of security.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n As children grow up and show a certain amount of wisdom they might be allowed to venture out more on their own.\u00a0 <\/span>Still they know that a steady hand of guidance is there when needed.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Of course there are times when teens or young adult children think they know so much more than their father.\u00a0 <\/span>Eventually as they grow in maturity they realized dad knew quite a bit more than they thought.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>As Tim Russet said, \u201cThe older I get, the smarter my dad seems to get.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n The Bible continually refers to God as our heavenly Father and we, as His children. \u00a0<\/span>I love what Isaiah 41:13 says.\u00a0 <\/span>God tells us, \u201cFear not for I the Lord your God will hold your right hand.\u00a0 <\/span>I will help you.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Like a loving Father, God holds our hand.\u00a0 <\/span>He guides us on our journey.\u00a0 <\/span>He walks with us.\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Many of us had loving fathers so it\u2019s easy to view God as a loving father.\u00a0 <\/span>Some had fathers who were not loving or kind.\u00a0 <\/span>Perhaps they were too busy to be bothered with their children, never around or even abusive.\u00a0 <\/span>If that\u2019s you, then my heart goes out to you.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Fortunately we all have a loving father who can transcend those negative memories.\u00a0 <\/span>Our spiritual Father is never too busy for us.\u00a0 <\/span>He is always available and willing to give us His undivided attention.\u00a0 <\/span>His thoughts are only for our best.\u00a0 <\/span>He will never abandon or forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5)\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n If you had a loving father then, be thankful.\u00a0 <\/span>If you didn\u2019t then fear not!\u00a0 <\/span>Place your hand in your heavenly Father\u2019s hand.\u00a0 <\/span>He will hold it and help you.\u00a0 <\/span>He will steady your uneasy steps.\u00a0 <\/span>He will keep you from getting lost. He will guide you.\u00a0 <\/span>He will calm you, comfort you, and keep you secure.
